Web-based interface to home sensor data

Michael Ross

This project analyses the feasibility and design of a set of interfaces for a telecare system, all of which use a common data set. Each step of this analysis and design was based around a scenario involving an older adult who has been diagnosed with COPD.

Using telecare systems allow for a person to be remotely cared for while continuing to live in their own home. Not only does this allow them to retain their independence, it helps to remove the strain placed on public health services.

This project finds that if modelled correctly, an effective set of interfaces can display data from the same source differently to create a telecare system that can be used to assist in the remote care of older adults.
